Thank you A. Skate for bring your clinics to Los Angeles regularly. We have attended twice and are waiting for number three. Each time my son has gone he doesn't want to leave until the very end of the day. He is working on balance & this is a space where he can push himself. The environment is great. The people are so much fun. Thank you for all you do!

This is a video my husband made of the kids at A Skate. My son, Joshie, has Autism. His Papa has always tried to get him skateboarding as he is rode most of his childhood,, young adulthood, but Joshie was always too scared. You've now gotten Joshie, his little sister Leah, and his PAPA riding again! My hubbie is a marketing guy and made this video of the event. You guys ROCK. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGeLVEqScCg Many thanks to you and Skate High for hosting! Thanks,Eve Burton-PoteetEva Burton-Poteet, Virginia Beach, VA
"My son is in grade school, non verbal, and is considered "low functioning". He has taken partial to both surfing and skatboarding. To see the joy that shines out of him when he is given the special attention he gets through this program is every mothers hope. It doesn't matter if they skate on their feet, stomachs, butt's, or whatever, they get to have a day of fun doing something that is fun!"Kami, Atlanta, GA
"Skating and Autism: The two words together make a person skeptical. Even I was not sure how my two would mix into this idea. Both of my children are so very different. I have a tortoise (daughter) and a hare (son). My husband was ready to leave when my son expressed his apprehensions by crying when we first arrived. However, after a little one on one time - this day seemed to harmonize their happiness! This organization is a real blessing in that it gave both a sense of accomplishment. We are grateful to Crys and A-Skate - and the local volunteers from the skate shops."

"My son, Jonathan is 10 years old. He is cute, funny, bright, intense, curious, friendly, hyperactive, loving and autistic.
When I heard about the A.skate Foundation, I just knew that Jonathan would love it. I’ll be honest, Jonathan has never been on a skateboard in his life. Perhaps I’m a little overprotective, but knowing that my son has very little awareness of danger and not too much common sense perhaps justifies the caution I feel.
But because A.skate is set up for children on the spectrum, I felt it would be a safe place for my son to explore the world of skateboarding.
The volunteers that came to help were more than just skaters, they were teachers. They reached out to my son and made a connection. I have never seen my son more focused and engaged! For 2 hours Jonathan skated and was attentive to the directions given. Jonathan showed great determination. He also made friends with some pretty cool dudes!
He cannot wait to skate again! The day with A.skate built confidence in my son, and has had a lasting effect. He is very proud of his accomplishment!
Thank you so much Chrys for all you do, and for giving our kids such a wonderful opportunity!"

"What a beautiful day on Sunday. We just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated you and your staff for working with our son Remy. He had a BLAST and felt so empowered. When I first told him about the clinic, he didn't want to go, he was actually visibly upset, I think he was scared. But then, he got there and saw how much fun everyone was having and he decided to try it, then you couldn't get him off the board. I was so impressed by your staff and how they made each child feel comfortable enough to attempt a go at skateboarding. What a wonderful program you are running. We are deeply appreciative for your commitment to our children!"
